Add a new E&I Plan
A published RIL must be available before you can create an E&I Plan. An Evaluation and Inspection (E&I) Plan is created through several sequential steps: defining the plan, mapping work centers, assigning inspection types and months, generating the plan, coordinating its implementation, and obtaining approval. Inspectors can only use the plan for execution once all these steps are finalized.
Creating a new E&I Plan
1.- Click on the E&I Plans item on the EQuAD main menu
2.- To create a new E&I Plan, start by clicking the Add new E&I Plan button on the E&I Plans screen. If other E&I Plans exist, they will be shown on this screen

3.- On the Details screen, enter the following information:
- E&I Plan Name (required) - Choose a clear and descriptive title that is easily understood.
- Description (optional) - Include any further detailed information here.
- Inspection Program (required) - Select the relevant Inspection Program (e.g., “2026 - RIL”). Your E&I Plan will inherit all inspections from this selected program along with any Local RIL inspections.
- Calendar year (required) - Select the appropriate calendar year. The year should coincide with the Inspection Program selected.
4.- Click on the Add new E&I Plan button.

5.- After adding the new plan, the system automatically redirects you to the Mapping screen. Here, assign one or more work centers to each inspection and optionally adjust the AQL. The Ready toggle visually indicates completed mappings, allowing you to pause and resume your work later via the Continue mapping option on the E&I Plan's contextual menu

Use the Only show unfinished mappings toggle to filter unmapped inspections. There is also a Search Inspections option and a frequency filter to quickly find specific inspections .Ensure all inspections are mapped and the Ready toggle is on before proceeding to the next step of plan generation.

6.- To generate the plan, click the "Generate Plan" button

7.- After generating your E&I Plan, you will be directed to the Inspection Plan screen. The system automatically sets monthly inspection frequencies. For less frequent inspections (quarterly, semi-annual, or annual), you will choose the specific month for each inspection. On this screen, you will specify the inspection type and attach optional documents using the Add button. To create inspections not already listed in the E&I Plan, use the Add Inspection button, which is located in the top left corner of the screen. Conversely, any listed inspection can be deleted from your plan if it's not needed.
Although all inspections for the year are listed, you can use the month filter to view a specific time period. For instance, if you have a quarterly plan, you can select the months and inspection types for all items due between January and March. Then, clicking Send for Review will finalize the Q1 plan and send it for the review process. You can return later to schedule the Q2 inspections.

8.- After preparing your plan, select the Send for Review button. A pop-up window will appear, detailing your plan and highlighting any errors that require correction. If no errors are found, clicking Send for Review again will finalize the plan and change its status to "review."

9.- EQuAD automatically directs you to the E&I Plan review screen, where you can track the review process. Supervisors can then review the plan and acknowledge items relevant to their work centers. Refer to the E&I Plan Review and Approval procedures for more information
