Introduction to Inspection Category

Listing of Inspection Category​

Here you will manage Inspection Categories. Routine Inspection Lists (RILs) are organized using categories, which help target Inspection Requirements. Each category includes one or more Inspection Areas, and each area specifies the items to be inspected. Think of an "area" as a sub-category. You can manage both categories and their areas within the Category configuration screen

You can find your organization's Inspection Categories on the configuration page at Configuration > Inspection Category.

tip

If you don't see the configuration option you're looking for, it may not be available with your current permissions, make sure you have the necessary permissions for the resource you're trying to access.

There, you can view a list of all your Inspection Categories and its information.

Inspection Category Listing

This view has filter controls that allow you to filter and sort the list of Inspection Categories by various criteria

Inspection Category Filter Controls

  • Search: You can filter by the name of the Inspection Category
  • Order by: Select by which field you want to order the Inspection Category list
  • Status: Select the status of the Inspection Category you want to show
  • Sort By: Select the sort order (ascending or descending) of the Inspection Category list

You can click the Clear Filters button to remove all filters and show the default Inspection Category list again.

Contextual Menu​

You can use the Contextual Menu to perform actions on the Inspection Categories in the list. This menu is available by clicking on the three dots icon next to each Inspection Category in the list.

  • View Inspection Category: takes you to the details of the selected Inspection Category
  • View Inspection Areas: takes you to the Inspection Areas information page of the selected Inspection Category
tip

note that not all the options from the contextual menu will be shown at a time some requires you to have certain permissions to perform the action, and some others will be shown depending on the status of the Inspection Category

Details​

in the listing page, upon clicking on one of the Inspection Category card, you will be taken to the Inspection Category details page, where you can see the information of the Inspection Category and its related information.
