As a Tenant Admin, you are the focal point for all HG EQuAD matters across all Organizations in your organization. You operate at the MAJCOM level and are responsible for building the platform before any Organization can begin using it.

Complete the steps in this guide before notifying your Chief Inspectors that their Organizations are ready. Chief Inspectors cannot begin configuring their Organizations until you have created them in HG EQuAD.

Configure platform settings

These are global settings that apply before any Organization exists, like your language library, inspection plan grace period, and other options every Organization inherits.

  1. Go to Configuration > Settings
  2. Review and configure settings and platform-wide options

See Configure Your Organization for details.

Create Organizations

Each Organization is a business unit in HG EQuAD, and its Chief Inspector can't do anything until you've created it.

  1. Go to Configuration > Organizations
  2. Click Add new Organization
  3. Enter the Organization's details and designate a Chief Inspector
  4. Configure any Organization-specific settings

Upon Organization creation, the designated Chief Inspector will receive an email notification that their Organization has been established.

See Organization for details.

Configure inspection settings

Inspection categories, types, and finding categories are the taxonomy your Chief Inspectors and QA Inspectors will use every day. Because these apply across every Organization, only you can create or modify them.

  1. Add Inspection Categories
  2. Add Inspection Types
  3. Add Finding Categories
  4. Add Finding Reasons
note

These settings are managed at the Tenant Admin level and apply to all Organizations. Chief Inspectors cannot create or modify inspection categories, types, finding categories, or finding reasons.

Create the MAJCOM RIL

The Routine Inspection List (RIL) is the master list of required inspections that applies to all Organizations. Each Chief Inspector's E&I Plan is built from this master list, supplemented by whatever local inspection tasks their Organization adds on top of it. As Tenant Admin, you create and manage the RIL.

See Routine Inspection List (RIL) for details.

You're ready

Once you have completed these steps, notify your Chief Inspectors that their Organizations are ready. Each Chief Inspector will then configure their Organization and build their E&I Plan.

Once your Organizations are configured, notify your Chief Inspectors that they are ready to begin.
