Map Work Centers

After creating an E&I Plan, you map each inspection from the RIL to the Work Centers responsible for conducting it. This mapping screen is Step 2 of the E&I Plan creation flow and must be completed before the plan can be generated.

To access the mapping screen, go to E&I Plans, open your plan, and select Continue Mapping from the contextual menu.

The mapping table

The mapping table lists every inspection item from your RIL. Each row represents one inspection and has the following fields:

  • Inspection — the inspection name, displayed as Category | Subcategory | Name. Use the search bar to filter by any part of this label.
  • AQL — the Acceptable Quality Level for this inspection. Click the field to edit it inline.
  • Frequency — the inspection's default frequency as set in the RIL. See Frequency override below to adjust this for the current plan.
  • Work Centers — the Work Centers responsible for this inspection. Select one or more from the dropdown.
  • Ready — toggle this on when the inspection is fully mapped and ready for plan generation. All inspections must be marked Ready before you can generate the plan.

Assigning Work Centers

For each inspection row, select the Work Center or Work Centers responsible for conducting it from the Work Centers dropdown. An inspection can be assigned to multiple Work Centers.

Once you've assigned Work Centers and confirmed the AQL and frequency, toggle Ready on for that row.

note

Use the Only show unfinished mappings toggle to filter the table to rows that haven't been marked Ready yet.

Editing AQL

The AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) defines the quality threshold for an inspection. Click the AQL field on any row to edit it inline. AQL values are inherited from the RIL but can be adjusted per plan.

Frequency override

Each inspection has a default frequency set at the RIL level, such as Quarterly. At the mapping stage, you can schedule it more frequently for this specific plan.

To override the frequency for an inspection, click the Frequency field on that row and select a more frequent option from the dropdown. For example, a Quarterly inspection could be overridden to Monthly for this plan.

note

You can only schedule an inspection more frequently than its RIL default. Selecting the RIL default value in the override dropdown clears the override and restores the original frequency.

Generating the plan

Once all inspections are marked Ready, click Generate Plan to finalize the mapping and move to the scheduling step.

caution

You cannot return to the mapping screen after generating the plan. Make sure all inspections are assigned to the correct Work Centers before proceeding.
